The John Patrick Peters Band is speaking to all generations, a native of the Lonestar State, now calling “Prison City” Jackson Michigan home. His musical platform is Rock with a Blues message that’s simple: shake the cage and see to it that the heart and soul of JPP is felt world wide!
At just 21 years old, JPP has already traveled a path that has taken him from the bluesy depths of Rock n Roll to the top of his game as a songwriter, guitar player and ultimately, a believer. His attitude and work ethic reflect a mantra that says anything is possible if you just put your mind to it. “Too many people go through life asleep, going day to day without goals, dreams, hopes, or ambitions,” JPP is living proof that raw talent, ambition and honesty can still prevail in an ailing music industry.

By aligning himself with unwavering dedication to the do-it-yourself attitude with a signature sound, bassist/Vocals Eddy Bitner, drummer Marty King, and keyboardist/Guitar/Vocals TC Delisle, have helped to define the landscape of today’s rocking blues music scene. JPP has built a foundation with support due to his relentless work ethic, talent, and stylistically felt songs - suggesting a range of influences from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Rory Gallagher, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Billy Gibbons, Warren Haynes, Gary Rossington, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Joe Walsh, Prince, and Brian Setzer. Along with the mentorship of legendary Jackson Michigan’s “God Father” of jazz Benny Poole, JPP has a wide range of musical background. Not to mention, he is a full time music major.

COMEDY NIGHT featuring David Dyer and DK Hamilton followed by special musical guest SOWFLO

...in David Dyer's words "Well here we are...another awkward bio from a comedian. I could loft the usual tidbits at you..."Here's who I've opened for"..."Here's where I started"..."I ALWAYS wanted to be a comedian". I could spit all of that shizzle out in hopes that it would add some legitimacy to my being, but we all know that's a bunch of crap. No matter what it says, you're not going to lose OR gain any sleep. Here's what you want to know...am I funny? Yes...I'm damn funny. Am I Bill Cosby funny? I think so, at times, although I'll bet you he'd have a different answer. I'm not going to over-pump myself...I'm a really good comedian with really good material. It's not for everybody (see Birmingham, AL), but it's for a lot of people. I'm proud of what I do and I'm not one of those guys who pines over the couple of people in the crowd who don't like me...I gave up on those a-holes years ago. Understand something about life...not everyone is going to have twinkle in their eye when you walk in the room, so keep walking and don't waste your time on the non-twinklers. Just get to one of my shows and judge for yourself." DK Hamilton - A “student of human behavior,” D.K. Hamilton is a comedy club favorite, entertaining audiences with his unique, smart, and sardonic takes on pop culture, race, and relationships. Named “Funniest Person in Grand Rapids” by Grand Rapids Magazine for two consecutive years and featured in its March 2013 issue, D. K. finds humor in examining the things that we secretly believe but are too polite to say out loud. Using his ability to entertain a great variety of audiences without resorting to lowest common denominator humor, D.K. Hamilton was an audience favorite at the 2010 Laugh Detroit Comedy Festival, performed in the 2012 FOX 101.3 Brew Ha Ha, and performed in Gilda’s Laughfest 2011, 2012, and 2013. In addition to performing, D.K. Hamilton is an award-winning humor columnist and has contributed to popular internet humor sites.

It is said by many that “The Meditation is Bob Marley’s favorite group,” which led to Bob requesting harmony and background vocals on songs like Rastaman Live Up and Blackman Redemption. Formed in 2011, songwriter/director Antony Ablan began his search for a band–a group of musicians that could handle, with grace, the wildly eclectic and dynamic changes in mood of his writing. “It was several months of working with all sorts of great players before I found the right fit." The band soon found themselves headlining Chicago’s most notable venues before embarking on their first national tour in the fall of 2011, earning notoriety for their explosive live shows all the down to Texas and back. Swinging from gentle sunshine ditties to wild soaring epics, to dirty garage floor american gypsy. “We call it American Gypsy, because it wanders but isn’t lost. Its a tramp, you can’t get lost when you’re in love with where you are.” So, basically Come down to Czar's tonight and love where YOU are!!!!

In response to repeated fan requests for tapes of shows and the surprise popularity of a series of bootlegs, Mr. Blotto released its debut CD, Parking Karma in August of 1992.

The Mainstays are a funk & soul band based in Kalamazoo, MI. Featuring Andrew Schrock (singer/songwriter), Dutch Conway (bass), and Nate Heymoss (guitar) of Michigan's funk/dance band Funktion, the band draws heavily from the groovy elements that made Funktion a bonafide dance party, while crafting dynamic, insightful, and almost folk-influenced songs. Half-beast/Half-man Paul Bauer behind the drum kit and the downright dirty playing of Tom McRockin Eldred (BMF Band) on keys bring the sound fully together, and provide that elusive answer to your missed connection.

Based in London and Los Angeles – and having been fortunate enough to already tour much of the globe – The Red Paintings are a five-piece group (guitar, violin, cello, bass and drums) whose sound evokes everything from child-like lullabies of the future, to tearing, biting, alternative-rock numbers. Their appeal reaches baroque-pop steam-punks, metal-heads, indie-rock fanatics, and beyond. They incorporate multimedia performance art wherever possible and seek submissions from local artists who paint the band’s live energy onstage in real time. With costumes, conceptual stage shows, live painting and human canvases their performance combines sound and visuals to create an experience that stimulates the senses and minds of the audience.

The Red Paintings also maintain a strong social consciousness, which is demonstrated in the messages throughout their music and stage shows. The band works closely alongside doctors and experts to help their fan base with the ongoing battle with youth suicide and they frequently collaborate with organisations within the animal rights community to help educate and raise awareness about animal cruelty.

Once upon a time, bass player Joe Arnold and drummer Mike Bruneau were in a band together called Mambo Sun. Joe was also in another band called ETA with singer Kate McMahon. Both bands broke up around August of 2007.

Fast forward to October of 2007. ETA had a gig booked at Pete's Simonton Lake Tavern in Elkhart. However, since they were no longer around, Joe needed to find some musicians to play the gig. He called up Kate, Mike, and guitarists Dave Denlinger and David Taylor, and asked them if they would like to play the show together. This lineup played the show at Pete's with no rehearsal, and had a wonderful time. They had no name for themselves, so the owner put the name Top Secret on his sign, and the name stuck. The gig at Pete's went so well that Joe just started booking more shows...and the rest is history.

As of 2013, the core members of Top Secret are Dave Taylor (guitars/vox), Joe Arnold (bass/vox) and Michael Bruneau (drums/vox). However, on some occasions, we have special guests Dave Denlinger (guitars) or Kris "KJ" Hammerstein (keys/sax) play shows with us. As we head into our 6th year of existence, the train keeps rollin'!!!

Comedy Night > Dom Pare & Jeff Arcuri

Dom Pare: Described as "one of the best new stand-ups around" by NOW Magazine, Dom Pare blends magnetic onstage charisma, hilarious observation, and clever writing to deliver memorable slide splitting comedy. Dom’s memorable approach has brought him to the Just For Laughs Festival and the finals of the SiriusXM Next Top Comic competition. Dom also reached the Semi-Finals of the 2012 San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and has been nominated as Toronto's Funniest Stand Up Comic 2013.

Jeff Arcuri: Raised in New York, kicked out of Michigan, and living in Chicago, Jeff Arcuri’s unique brand of humor is dark with a big smile and wink. With a view of two disappointed parents in a rear view mirror, Jeff made his way out to Chicago in 2012 where he quickly became a regular at The Laugh Factory and went on to perform at The Laughing Skull Festival, The Laughing Devil Festival, and become a finalist in Comcast’s Trial by Laughter. Jeff’s perspective, high energy, and oddly versatile facial expressions make him a comic to watch.

Hailing from the beautiful Caribbean island of Dominica, the Ancient and Holy Lands of Ethiopia, and the Birthplace of Humanity, Ghana, Africa, comes the award winning reggae music of Gizzae.

When ASCAP singer/songwriter Kris Hitchcock set out to write his first nationally released album this year, he had four years of 200+ shows a year and thousands of miles of road to draw from. The hardest working independent artist in the midwest was able to put all those miles and hours behind the wheel to good use in the writing of “American Fire”, released in November of 2013. The album is filled with hard won memories, stories, and rock coated country music straight from America’s heartland. With a young voice that already holds the maturity and grit of a seasoned rocker, and a pen that knows how to connect to listeners of all ages and backgrounds, Kris is a rising star in the writing and performing world. Joining with Nashville producer Aaron Eshuis, this album explodes out of the speakers. Even at his young age, you can hear the true-life, lived out experiences that Kris writes about.

Comedy Night > Mike Bobbitt & DJ Dangler

Detroit native Mike Bobbitt is one part nerd, one part punk and a whole lot of funny. He's also embarrassed that he just wrote that last sentence. A Mike Bobbitt show is a ridiculous stream of consciousness and embarrassing naughty admissions.

DJ Dangler’s show is a balance of energy and intellect. Equally comfortable in barrooms and classrooms; DJ firmly believes that humor is universal, and nothing is off limits, so long as it’s funny. DJ is the Head Writer for The Comedy Circus, and an accomplished stand-up comedian. A Midwestern Transplant to NYC, DJ blends East Coast
Cynicism with genuine Midwestern Charm to create an approachable and hilarious take on humans and other idiot species. DJ understands that people are pretty much the same everywhere, and if you can get enough of those people to laugh, you don’t have to get a real job.

BOBAFLEX opening Ground Effect (Wet Paint Winners)

BOBAFLEX is known as one of the hardest working bands in the country.   Renowned for their high energy, live shows and relentless touring the band was formed in 1998 by brothers Shaun and Marty McCoy.   The brothers are known for their ancestral ties to the most infamous family feud in American history between the Hatfield and McCoy.   The interest of the feud has spurred of late a mini-series, many documentaries and an upcoming modern day version series debuting this Fall.

BOBAFLEX will release their 7th album ... ANYTHING THAT MOVES in June 2015.  The follow up to CHARLATAN’S WEB  (2013) that featured the singles BAD MAN, I'M GLAD YOU'RE DEAD and NEVER COMING BACK and HELL IN MY HEART (2011) that featured the singles BURY ME WITH MY GUNS ON, CHEMICAL VALLEY and THE SOUND OF SILENCE.

GROUND EFFECT:
We are fairly metal hard rock, but pretty much metal. Perhaps little new-age with a tone of old school roots. We've been around for over 6 years and have been a Jagermeister Band since 2009. We're also sponsored by Dirtbag Clothing Apparel and ElectroVoice. Big shout out to Tony Lloyd for the ink, DrummerFromAnotherMother.com and Birds Eye View and of course all the local music... Bands are ever changing, but it's the same circle of musicians so the bands always rock. If you want a good show, come play and watch the bands in Southwest Michigan. Join the party. We're Kelly, Tony, Chris, Randy and Tyrrence... or you can call us Hippi, T-Bone, C.o.t.B., NuBz and Scratches.

Eddie received his first piano at the age of nine
in New Orleans.  He started to try to work out harmonies and vocal melody lines on his own. He wrote his first song in the sixties as a teenager.  As a young child, he started to notice that his uncle was traveling more and more to places that he had never heard of.  He did not realize that Fats Domino’s travel had much to do with music.  He only knew that his uncle was traveling a lot.

In the 70's Eddie started to play gigs with a famous local Blues singer called Bobby Rush. Bobby Rush was a Blues icon in New Orleans during the 60’s and 70’s.

Eddie’s musical career would be interrupted by the United States Army.  Eddie was immediately sent on a tour throughout Europe, only to find out that his family name was already there.  It was  during  his time in the US Army that he came to understand what a real impact his uncle was making on the world.  During his stay in Europe, he was always questioned whether he was, in fact, related to Fats Domino.  All this attention caused him to focus more and more on a career in New Orleans styled music.  He now had the Domino music bug.

SmartyPants was the creative brainchild of Tara and Mark who played together in an acoustic band and wanted something more energetic.

Tara, who had played in the rock/dance band SpellBound for 12 years, had always wanted to do a musical project that featured all the current dance hits.  So, a group was assembled that agreed it would be the perfect genre of music for clubs that want their patrons to not just sit and watch a band, but rather dance.  SmartyPants was born.

Bridge To Grace has been impressing audiences with their energetic live show performance and songwriting skills since early 2012. In January, they released their second single “Bitch” to radio and have begun touring in preparation for the Spring 2015 launch of their first full length eponymous album BRIDGE TO GRACE. Loaded with powerful songs that range from hard-hitting rockers to emotionally driven ballads. Their unique and compelling sounds leave fans wanting more!

Whether just talking to the audience or performing his whimsical subject matter, audiences always seem to enjoy Danny's quick wit and offbeat sense of humor.

These failures not only make for a night of laughs, but leave the audience feeling better about their own accomplishments. Since Matt began telling jokes for money and drinks, he's worked with some of the U.S.'s biggest names: Jon Lovitz, Tracy Morgan, Amy Schumer,
Patrice O’Neal, D.L. Hugley. Matt’s act is based on observational humor and his life experience while being centered around his frustrations on his own abilities. Come see why Matt was recently voted prettiest, African American actress, over the age of 47.

With their symphonically powerful sound and an arsenal of brand new material, mid-Michigan’s Darling Down is prepared to show the world that they are ready to stake their artistic claim in the territory of modern rock. The band, an outstanding female fronted four piece, has a synergistic effect among its members: Amanda Legault’s clear, strong vocals that range from powerfully compelling to hauntingly sweet, Dustin Claud’s driving and dynamic guitar riffs, Jim Dokurno’s thunderous bass lines, and Ryan Hudson’s tight musicianship on drums. Committed to lyrically thoughtful and melodically engrossing songwriting with powerful hooks, Darling Down is distinctive in today’s musical arena.

Christy & The Professors started in early 2013 as a fun indie rock project for husband and wife, Christy (vocals/guitar/songwriting) & Nathan Foster (bass). Soon after Shane Pitmon joined bringing his signature dynamic guitar to the sound. After a couple of low key jam sessions went better than expected, a group of five young Detroit musicians decided the chemistry was too good to keep inside the walls of the studio space. What formed is what we now know as Captain Ivory, a genre-breaking high energy Rock N' Roll experience that is putting soul back into the sound of the Motor City.

The Motor City is a down and dirty place to be these days. Captain Ivory’s music reflects this sentiment with a raw power that mirrors the crumbled rubble of a Detroit city street. The same streets that laid the groundwork for some of Rock N’ Roll’s most acclaimed artists–Captain Ivory kept their ear to the pavement to blend sounds both new and old. A sound of legends who’ve walked before, with a twist of new that is sure to get your feet tapping and hands clapping…

Formed in 2008, under the short lived name "Groovestone", the brainchild of Michael Gee, newly resurrected from a prolonged sabbatical from the music business, or live performance anyway, this band's story of it's early days is not unfamiliar.  A year long revolving door of players, short money gigs in small venues and the story goes on... But for Gee, the return to the hustle of the music business was not about money or notoriety,  rather his love of the craft, a body of unpublished work and unrealized aspirations.   As the band was taking shape, Gee had already begun recording the band's first CD, "Fame and Misfortune", playing most of the instruments and tracks himself, with the sax tracks by Bob Hunt, Slide Guitar tracks by Jerry Lew Patterson and Hamonica tracks by Jeff (Bosco) Bobrofsky. The CD was released in 2010 on Gee's private "MG Distractions" label under the band's first re-branded name; "The Bosco-Gee Blues Band".  Within a few short months of the CD release and a runner-up showing in a regional blues competition, in hopes of competing in the International Blues Challenge, the small venues magically evolved into festival stages, theaters and casinos.

PS has been knocking the socks, shoes, pants and halter-tops off mid-west club goers for years with no real end in sight. With the emphasis on performance, PS has raised the bar for all other acts by setting attendance records at nearly all of their venues. The seamless show of non-stop entertainment is no accident. PS has been known to say "first we must entertain ourselves, we came out tonight to try and have more fun than the audience" This seems to be a never-ending battle with both sides victorious. This multimedia show with pfreaky and hilarious video clips, is woven in to a rambunctious cocktail shaker of psychedelic rock, spaced-out funk, hardcore rock, freestyle disco rap and everything else under the sun up to, and including the proverbial kitchen sink...

You may remember him as the leader of the All-Star Frogs (1970-1983) and the Power Trio (1983-present), doing humorous and raunchy blues originals such as “Tie You Up!” and “More Love, More Money”. You may remember the Tumatoe tours of local clubs and endless spins of his songs on college radio in the ’70s and ’80s. You may not know that he played in a FIJI house band (Lothar and the Hand People) at the University of Illinois, the band name created by Bill Geist, CBS Sunday Morning News Correspondent; recorded for Warner Bros. (I Like My Job, produced by John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival fame); and was a member of REO Speedwagon — he left in 1969, evidently taking all rocking bluesy rootsy-ness with him — and he grew up on the South Side of Chicago, a blues-loving youth who hung with the legends.

Now he’s still at it, playing over 200 shows a year, covering over 60,000 miles. Tumatoe promises “A good time, a little mischief, a lot of great music.”

Comedy Night > Bubba Bradley & Zach Martina  > Karaoke

Bubba Bradley
Growing up in a nomadic single parent family, Bubba used comedy as a way of dealing with instability. Fame came early to Bubba when he was voted class clown in his senior year; a title he holds in high honor even today. Drawing on material from childhood family dysfunction, an outspoken out-of-the-closet brother to jobs from metal factory worker to Yellowstone security guard to small-town Montana bar bouncer, allows Bubba Bradley the opportunity to weave a highly entertaining, universally funny, down-to-earth story-telling style of comedy that you won’t forget.

Zach Martina
A supportive family, a loving relationship and kids who adore him, that’s the American Dream. Unless you’re Zach Martina, then it’s a recipe for skepticism and anxiety. Using his sarcastic wit, creative wordplay and a loveable arrogance, Zach brings his big personality to crowds across America as they wonder: "I don’t know what he’s freaking out about, but it’s pretty funny."

Saturday February 1310pm

Benton Harbor, MI’s THE RAIN DOGS are living proof that raw talent, ambition and honesty can still prevail in an ailing music industry. In an age where bands put together a sound that has no one word description, Electric Jug Band has truly placed an eloquent puzzle upon the sonic landscape of todays sound. Americana rolled in with Rockabilly Funk Jam, Electric Jug Band plays for the shear joy of creating a "smile on your face with happy feet" environment for all in attendance. Electric Jug Band has a rich library of their own original songs. However, they do perform Grateful Dead tribute shows infused with the likes of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Pink Floyd, The Band, Cab Calloway, Phish,Funk, Blues, and traditional Americana music.

Comedy Night > Fred Potter & Keith Bergman:  followed by Karaoke

http://www.czars.com/-/images/250_KARAOKE3.jpg

Voted as class clown in High School, Fred has developed his own style of comedy which audiences can truly enjoy as entertainment. His show is filled with quick wit that everyone can relate to whether it be impressions, music or family related situations. He has opened for Bernie Mac, Tommy Chong, Cedric the Entertainer, Sinbad, just to name a few. He has also appeared on B.E.T. As Fred says,
"Laughter is a beautiful thing."

Keith Bergman has spent his life doing ridiculous things.  He's been an actor, a music critic, an author, a reviewer of dirty movies for an adult film industry trade magazine, and a drummer in rock and roll bands.  Now he finds himself at 40 as the only dad at the PTA meeting in a death metal t-shirt.  His "highbrow stupid" insights on fatherhood, mortality, and holding on to the things you love in a world gone weird have made him an up-and-coming comedic talent in the midwest.

Dark metal from Detroit's underbelly.. No gimmicks, no bullshit, just metal. \m/

Detroit, Michigan's HATE UNBOUND are the sonic equivalent of a booze fueled fist fight (among friends). All driven by raw talent, ambition, honesty and a passion for heavy metal. This passion has allowed them to share the stage with national acts such as Warbringer, Havok, Sworn Enemy, Straight Line Stitch, The Browning, It Lies Within and a regional tour with L.A. metal veteran's Heretic.

By focusing their dedication to the do-it-yourself work ethic with a specific sound, singer Art Giammarra, guitarist Daryl Mitchell, guitarist William Cundiff, bassist John Kinder, and drummer Danny "Blaze" Kendall continue to define the heavy landscape of today’s metal music scene. Their work consists of heavy songs that make you want to bang your head.

Glethal9 is Brandon Mehaffey (skinny strings), Chris Owens (skinny strings, vox), Walt Summerhill (beats), Lance Eichler (fat strings), Mike D. (vox, swag). We started back in 98 or so, signed a indie record deal and jammed the midwest. We took a break....like alot of years. Many things have changed but not the love for music and friends. Whatever comes out the basement next we dont know yet?But it will definitely be GL9!

Humanity Lavel is from Mishawaka, Indiana.

Brother StarRace blends hypnotic chord progressions, soulful melodies, and visceral vocals, to communicate through the universal language of music. Founders, Richard Juarez (Lead Vocalist) and Justin Doebert (Rhythm Guitarist), met at UIC and used poetry, guitar, and harmony to process youthful yearnings.

The newly named, soulful, Brother StarRace, evolved from dorm-room sessions to live shows throughout Chicago, with the addition of Scott Paloian. In early 2015, the collaboration with new members Emily Woods (Vocalist), Danny Kulasik (Lead Guitarist), and Anne Debre (Bass guitar) brought vulnerability to their sound, ultimately creating the synergy that permeates their beloved listeners.

Country Night > Megan Rae Band

Megan Rae is not your average seventeen-year-old girl-next-door. She’s the girl-next- door who can really deliver a country song with emotion, power and grace. With a vocal maturity far beyond her years and a remarkably unusual ability to turn a phrase, listeners are immediately reminded of Linda Ronstadt, Trisha Yearwood, a young Patsy Cline or even Loretta Lynn when experiencing Megan Rae’s dynamic and traditional country voice for the first time.

Megan Rae’s knack for interpreting a song, (like Ronstadt), was recognized early on and she quickly caught the attention of famed producer, Robyn Robins (of Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band fame). Robins spread the word to peers in rock and country and a team of renowned artists and songwriters eagerly appeared on the scene to write and record for Megan Rae’s debut album sessions in Nashville and Michigan.

Justin Leon
SMOOOOTH is the first word that comes to mind when describing Headliner JUSTIN LEON. A surprising choice of words considering this performer definitely has an edge to his persona and act. His meteoric rise in comedy club popularity is not surprising. When you see him perform you know you are seeing a very talented man at the top of his game. Current events, pop culture, his family, his friends, himself, men, women, and children. Nobody is off-limits when he turns a keen eye and creates comedy.

Russell Cairns
Russell Cairns is a young comedian with an old stand up and deliver style. He is a true master of the one liner with jokes that range in topic from fatherhood to a day on the job and everywhere in between. If you like your comedy fast paced and hilarious with just enough edge to keep you guessing you will enjoy his show.

Midwest Hype came of age in the early 2000's in the Chicago area and officially became a band in 2006 when lead singer/guitarist George Matthew Prellwitz met drummer Max Kepler and bassist Nate Miller and began playing music together. The three of them went on to Ball State Univeristy, where they met keyboard player Kevin Krizmanich, saxophonist Ben Morrisey, and trumpet player Scott Whitford. After leaving BSU the band members proceeded to embark on a grueling tour schedule, playing 150+ shows annually over the course of the next 5 years. In early 2010, emcee Justin "Ideal" Diehl joined the group, adding the perfect complement to the mixture of hip-hop, reggae, funk, and jazz that fully epitomizes the band.

The name of the band is Chameleon and we chose the name because we seem to be able to mold to whatever crowd we play to - old or young - and all seem to like it. It's a rock-and-roll variety mix and we're relatively new as a band but there's a combined amount of onstage experience of over 60 years in this group, and you can tell it when Chameleon gets going. We've had really good crowd responses every where we've played and we play anything from the Beatles, to Maroon 5 and everything in between. Here's who's in the group: Paul Rogers on drums, Gerry Light on bass, Norman Light on rhythm guitar, and Cris Bocanegra on lead guitar. Knowing that, the best way to find out more about us is to come and check us out! Hope to see you there!

Experience is a word often over used, so we are hesitant to say this group has a lot of experience, even though collectively it has about one hundred and seventy five years of it. So it is just best to say, "experience Q Sonics."

The musicians' influences are various, but the sum is a pleasing sound based predominately on blues, with heavy influences of rock, soul, funk and reggae.

Mike brings his unique style and likeability to comedy clubs and corporate events across America. His exposure to comedy and life on many different levels has allowed him to develop a refreshingly new style. His quick wit and adaptability make him a comedian that everyone will enjoy. Over the years he has hosted three comedy morning shows. In 2004 Mike added "entertaining the troops" to the list of things he has accomplished. He toured Asia performing in Korea, Japan and Guam.

Steve Hartman used to sell fire trucks, now he is a stand up comedian. His high school guidance counselor didn’t tell him those were options; she said he’d have a successful career as an underachiever. Steve's sardonic optimism oozes positive energy while he skewers life’s absurdities. To Steve the glass is half full and ready to spill. When it does, the result is a memorable performance and a journey into a world were we are all the punchline. Steve was featured in a story on Fox and CNN about the importance of stand up during tough times. He can be seen on Comedy Central’s Jokes.com.

What's more is there to say than...

"It's impossible to have a bad time when PS is in the house"

Saturday August 2010pm

From the heart of Nashville’s buzzing music scene where a wealth of styles, influences, and collaborations inspire songs and sounds limited only by the imagination, comes The Void Nation. Part country.  Part pop-rock. Part electronic. Part undefined.

Soaring pop melodies are woven around the traditional country sounds of the electric and acoustic guitars, and then slammed with a fresh meshing of powerful electronic grooves and synth soundscapes.  The slightly darker and anxious arrangements are accompanied by a gripping narrative of the struggle between personal hardships and hopeful contentment.  Verses that make you think and choruses that make you sing provide for a stirring and inspiring mix of emotionally deep yet relatable songs.

When you come to an Emcee M.D. show, you will see nothing but 110% exerted energy. No standing still, No typical swagger walking, No bouncy “new style dances”… more like a constant melee of unbridled aggressive movement, in your face sing-a-longs, and even a few props to give the shock and awe leaving you saying “Now THIS is show!”. Emcee M.D. is undeniably a sound of hip hop that was a lost art. Old school beats with a few new school ideas… some what he calls “dirty and nerdy”. The music, a free formed calamity of catchy choruses and musical hooks, meets “booty shakin’” dance grooves, is unique in it’s own right. Funk, punk rock, old style fast techno industrial, and even hardcore/ metalcore is likely to be caught by one’s ear; but one constant with this matrix of sound is that the roots are hip hop in it’s purest form… old school.

Based in Chicago, IL, Without U2 is named after the song “With or Without You”, from U2’s breakthrough album The Joshua Tree. Without U2 performs hits from all the albums, from Boy, October, War, The Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum, Achtung Baby, Zooropa, Pop, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, No Line on the Horizon, and Songs of Innocence. Our members are professional musicians and huge U2 fans. We will not settle for less than complete authenticity. Jono belts out souring vocals that rival Bono himself. Cory Sanders recreates the tech guitar wizardry of “The Edge”, and Michael Koelling (bass) supplies the melodic low end of Adam Clayton. And true to his real-life counterpart, Larry Mullen Jr., drummer Jeff Kropp provides the heart, soul and attention to detail that makes Without U2 unrivaled, except by U2 themselves. Without U2 is available for stadium shows, festivals, clubs, casinos, weddings, birthdays, concerts in the park, Christmas parties, fundraisers, churches, Armed Forces Tours (USO Tours), as well as private parties and corporate events within the U.S. and around the world.
